Cobi Smith is a skilled, professional communicator with an emphasis on public relations and political communication. As the Director of Membership Services for the Police Jury Association, she brings her attention to detail and a proactive work style. In addition to her membership duties, Cobi handles accounts payable and receivable, the annual scholarship program and NACo legislative responsibilities for the Police Jury Association.

Before joining the Police Jury Association, Cobi worked as the Business and Communications Coordinator for The Magnolia Companies of Louisiana, LLC where she managed company websites, created communication materials, developed brand guidelines, and prepared proposals and contracts. Additionally, she has prior work experience in implementing social media campaigns, preparing media kits, creating social media graphics, overseeing promotional events and designing websites.

She is a graduate of Louisiana State University’s Manship School of Mass Communication where she was the recipient of the Tiger Excellence Scholars Award, a student mentor through the LSU Office of Multicultural Affairs and a member of the prestigious Golden Band from Tigerland.

More recently, Cobi received her Master of Mass Communication from LSU. When she’s not in the office, Cobi creates magical moments and everlasting memories across Southeast Louisiana as a cast member with the Petite Princess Company. She lives in Baton Rouge with her cat, Milan, and her dog, Beesly.
