Timmy Roussel is presently serving his 2nd term as Parish President of St. James Parish. He served 16 years as councilman prior. He formerly served as Alderman for the Town of Lutcher for five (5) years from 1987 to 1992. During that time, he was elected to serve in 1991 as District "H” vice-president on the Louisiana Municipal Association Executive Board. Timmy has been serving on the Executive Board since 1995. He also served as President of the Police Jury Association of LA in 2004.
He is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving for two (2) years. He earned all his promotions meritoriously, completing his term of service at the rank of Sergeant (E 5). In boot camp, he earned the distinction of "Honor Man” & while serving at the Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, North Carolina, he received an award for "Marine of the Month” in March 1971.Timmy worked & retired from Mosaic Fertilizer, LLC, after 40 years of employment. He belongs to various community organizations.
Timmy is an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist at St. Joseph Catholic Church for approximately twenty (20) years. He is also a committed adorer for the Lutcher Adoration Chapel.
Timmy resides in Lutcher, LA, and has been married to Linda Ledet for the past 45 years. They have 3 children, Ryan, Lauri & Timmy, Jr., and 9 grandchildren, Alyssa, Ethan, Tristan, Hayden, Emory, Ryan, Rylie, Drake, and Brock.
