Pat Brister has been a public servant for several years; eight years on the Parish Council; St. Tammany Children’s Advocacy Center; the Commission on Families; Habitat for Humanity; Head of Delegation to the UN Commission on the Status of Women; and many more. In 2011, Pat was elected to the office of St. Tammany Parish President where she made history as the first female Chief Executive Officer of the Parish. She runs her administration on the tenants of customer service, transparency, accountability and cooperation and has said numerous times that she absolutely loves her job. She is currently serving her second term in office.
Pat’s focus is to lead us to champion our inherent strengths, and project a vision of what this Parish can be in the future. She is leading this Parish through an unchartered era where we have surpassed a quarter of a million citizens, expanding economic development, and all the complexities (managed growth, infrastructure, and quality of life) that come with this next chapter in St. Tammany’s history. She has spearheaded multi-generational projects that will impact our community on many levels both now and into the future. Among those that are underway are Safe Haven, a multi-agency behavioral, continuum of care behavioral
Pat will continue to shape the course for the St. Tammany Parish with the goal to make us the premier community in this region, and in the State of Louisiana.
