Lisa Nelson

Treasurer Lisa Nelson is a native of St. Martinville, Louisiana. Lisa is the daughter of Thomas Nelson, Past President of the Executive Board (currently Mayor) and Ursula Nelson. Lisa served as member-at-large for three (3) years on the Executive Board and is now Past President.

Lisa Nelson is currently serving her 13th year as a council member on the St. Martin Parish Council representing District 2. She is Chair for the St. Martin Parish Council.

Lisa is a graduate of St. Martinville Senior High School, and then attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana for three (3) years seeking an Executive Secretarial Degree. She graduated from Lafayette Regional Institute as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1988. In 2004, she graduated from Louisiana State University of Eunice as a Licensed Registered Nurse and is presently employed by Iberia Medical Center Hospital.

Lisa is Vice Chair of Health and Human Hospitals Committee, a member of Housing and Urban Development Committee, Louisiana Nursing Association, Women of NACo, NABCO, NACo Health Steering Committee, past NACO Board of Director member, and is on the State Parks & Recreation Committee for the State of Louisiana.
