Lady Brown Lady Fontenette Brown, a proud native of Jeanerette, LA, currently serves as the District 12 Councilwoman for Iberia Parish. Now in her second term, she has become a pivotal figure on the Parish Council. Brown attended Southern University, majoring in Mass Communications with a focus on Public Relations, and she has effectively applied her expertise to community engagement. During her initial term, she showcased her leadership as the Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee for Iberia Parish Council. Currently, Brown holds the esteemed position of Chair for the Public Health and Safety Committee on the Iberia Parish Council, advocating for vital issues affecting her constituents. Her dedication to mental health awareness is deeply personal, as she tragically lost a brother to suicide. In response, she actively serves on the advisory board for Bee The 1 to Help Someone, a rural mental health non-profit organization providing essential mental health first aid training in underserved communities. Moreover, she is the visionary founder of the Small Town Arts & Festival Foundation, committed to promoting arts and culture in small towns to boost tourism and foster community engagement. Lady Fontenette Brown embodies dedication, vision, and advocacy, enriching her community through her diverse contributions.
