Kendall Thompson

Kendall L. Thompson is a lifelong resident of Lake Providence, Louisiana in East Carroll parish. He graduated from Lake Providence Senior High School and studied at Mississippi Valley State University. 

Kendall started his career as a certified School Bus Driver. Currently, he is the Transportation Manager and Trainer for the East Carroll parish School District.  He Has worked for the District for twenty-four (24) years. 

Kendall is currently serving his fourth consecutive term on the East Carroll Parish Police Jury. During his tenure Kendall served ten {10) years as Chairman of Road Drainage, twelve (12) years as Vice president and (10) years as Chairman of the Sanitation Committee. 

He is presently serving as the President of the East Carroll Parish Police Jury. 

Kendall attends Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and devotes his time as Minister of Music for several local churches. He also travels with his Gospel Recording Group, Kevin Thompson and the Sensational 6. Additionally, Kendall serves as the Chairman of the Louisiana Soul Food and Heritage Festival Planning Committee an additional community endeavor. 

Kendall was married to JoAnn D. Thompson for 33 years until her death March 21, 2020. He is the father of one (1) son, Kendall L. Thompson, Jr.
