Jackie Paulk is a lifelong resident of Catahoula Parish and still resides today on the same family property where he was born on the banks of Black River in 1942.
Jackie has served on the Catahoula Parish Police Jury since January 2000 as District Nine Juror. During his tenure with the Jury, he served several years as Vice President and President and currently serves on the Finance, Equipment, Personnel and Road/Bridge Committees. In addition to the Catahoula Parish Police Jury, he also serves as a member of the Executive Board of the LaSalle Community Action Association.
Jackie is also a past President of Region Eight and has served as Vice Chair of the PJAL Highways Committee since 2008.
Jackie is a U. S. Navy veteran having served his country from 1960-1963. In 1972, he joined the Louisiana National Guard to help establish a National Guard Company in Catahoula Parish and served with the Guard until 1982.
Jackie has been married to his wife, Imogene Thompson Paulk for fifty-two years. They have three daughters, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The Paulks are longtime members of the Mayna Church of God, where Jackie has served as a member of the Church’s Board of Trustees since 1987.
