Dan
Garrett is the General Counsel of the Police Jury
Association of Louisiana. In that capacity he
provides assistance to Parishes and Parish Attorneys,
heads the Association's legislative lobbying team, and
provides counsel to the Executive Board of the
Association.
Additionally, Dan serves as the General
Counsel to the Parish Government Risk Management Agency
(PGRMA), the health and hospitalization and workers'
compensation fund operated by the Association. In
this capacity he also oversees workers' compensation
settlements.
Dan is a
native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he and his wife,
Julie, are raising their two sons, Davis and Griffin.
He is a graduate of Louisiana State University and
thePaul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU. Prior to
working with the Association he maintained a private
civil law practice and served as the Staff Attorney for
the Louisiana Municipal Association and the Louisiana
House of Representatives, Committee on House and
Governmental Affairs. |
