SB 121 by Sen.
Dupre would raise the bid law contract limit for
public works projects from $100K to $200K.
This iproposal was unanimously adopted at the
PJAL Convention. Though the bill
unanimously passed the Senate Comm. LABI raised
a last minute surprise objection on the Senate
Floor, claiming the bill would harm small and
emerging contractors. This is not so and
the current bid limit has not been increased for
over a decade (1997). Your Senator needs
to here from you if this bill has any
opportunity to pass. |
